Our Story

Rockslide has strong dedication to a blend of Classic and 80's rock. Rockslide has captivated crowds from Reno to the Bay Area for the past 27 years. The group has performed at nightclubs, corporate events, and private parties.

Providing lead vocals and guitar is Tony Tuoto. Tony has performed in several club bands in Northern California. His voice is reminiscent of Lou Gramm or Paul Rogers while his musical roots lay in the blues of the Allman Brothers and vintage Clapton.

Filling out the musical texture of the band is multi-keyboardest/vocalist Thad Foster. Though classically trained, his musical influences include Jonathan Cain and Elton John. Thad's southern rock vocal styling brings an added dimension to the group.

New member Mark Banning brings strong lead vocals to the band. His lead guitar sizzles and his slide guitar screams.

Mark first got introduced to the guitar while still in his high chair as a baby.  He started taking formal guitar lessons from Ernie Ball's Music Store in Tarzana, California (Los Angeles area) at the age of 9.  Within 3 months, he played in his first band at a school talent show. By age 13, he had recorded a single in North Hollywood.  The next year, he recorded another single at RCA.

Mark became a full-time musician after finishing high school, playing in night clubs 6 nights a week. Mark has performed and recorded with many bands, including a 19-year stint with The Unauthorized Rolling Stones.  His bands have shared the stage with many name acts, such as The Scorpions, Beach Boys, George Thorogood, Molly Hatchet, Foreigner, Journey, Captain Beefhart, Deep Purple, Yes, Lynyrd Skynrd, and Pat Travers, to name a few.

The cornerstone of the Rockslide rhythm section is  bassist Ike Reeves.  Ike's solid bass playing helps lay the foundation for the band. Ike has performed with multiple bands with a wide variety of styles.

Providing a solid beat and driving the rhythm is drummer extraordinaire Rick Jensen! Rick bring a wealth of talent to the band with his strong drum skills and awesome vocals! Rick is also a veteran of several East Bay bands.
